"Our stay at Cedar Solace was absolutely perfect and exceeded our expectations. The host, Lindsey, was aware that we were staying in Lutsen to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to find personalized gifts for our trip waiting for us. We have stayed at many Airbnbs, including some higher-end properties, but this experience topped them all. The property itself is jaw-dropping. The pictures speak for themselves and are an accurate representation of what to expect. We particularly enjoyed the well-stocked dream kitchen and the sauna with fire pit. Beyond the physical home itself, the location of the property was amazing for us. It is quiet and secluded, with an amazing forest and Lake Superior view. We loved being just a few minutes from Lutsen Mountains, and the general store in Lutsen has many more items on the shelves than one might expect! We can’t wait to return!"

This is the place to stay if you’re in the area. Every detail of the house and hosting was intentional and thoughtful. It exceeded our expectations and was more beautiful than the photos. Lindsey was responsive and kind. We are excited to go back in every season.

Clean, beautiful, private, peaceful - everything you could want! We had such a great time. The home provides easy access to parks and trails and the nearby shops and restaurants in Grand Marais, Lutsen and Tofte. Everything is well designed and high quality - including the kitchen, the bathrooms, the sauna, the comfortable beds, etc.Highly recommend!
Saw Wildlife from the Patio! Close to Hiking and Walking Trails.
Couldn't ask for a better hosts or a more beautiful home to stay for a week to relax! Saw wildlife from the patio, which we all thoroughly enjoyed! Our children loved playing on kitchen floor with dominos and trains and  floor heat made it so much fun! Lindsey and Dave were super responsive for anything we may need and quick to get things solved if anything arises. Lindsey provided us with lots great information prior to and while there for hiking, restaurants, kid ideas, ect. Hiking and walking trails are super close. Grand Marais is super beautiful and has a lot of nice, local shops. Gunflint trail we loved. Sauna was an added bonus. Super thoughtful gift upon arrival awaiting us. Beds very comfortable and great views throughout the entire home! Thanks again Lindsey & Dave!
Incredible New Cabin to Rent on the North Shore
Cedar Solace is an incredible new cabin to rent on the North Shore! Fantastic location, private, and beautiful views. The sauna is spacious, well-stocked cabin with comfy beds. Thanks for being responsive during our stay.
As someone from Finland, I appreciated the authentic design of the home and the sauna.
We loved this quiet and peaceful place. The home was spotless, beautifully clean, and thoughtfully designed with a Nordic touch. The view was stunning, and everything was exceptionally well organized and very private.The Finnish sauna was a true highlight, such a wonderful bonus and the "Rento" products were a lovely surprise. As someone from Finland, I genuinely appreciated the authentic design of both the home and the sauna. The location is perfect: very close to the Lutsen slopes and a local mini market, making everything easy and convenient. We had a lovely time and would absolutely return again!

This cabin was truly perfect. We came up North to celebrate my 40th birthday in a calm, peaceful, and gorgeous spot near Grand Marais and Lake Superior, and this cabin could not have been a better fit. The well-equipped kitchen, Finnish sauna, fireplace, and cozy rooms were our draw. We thoroughly enjoyed the quiet mornings with coffee and books in front of the windows. I appreciated Lindsey’s communication and instructions ahead of arriving, and the friendliness to which everything was communicated in. We enjoyed our time in Grand Marais and on the trails in Lutsen.Â
Reasonable Price. Close to Everything.
Beautiful, secluded location. Love the open kitchen and living area with great view of lake Superior. Elegant master bath. Is close to lots of things to do; Lutsen ski hill, hiking, fishing and just a short distance from Grand Marais. All at a reasonable price. Highly recommend.
Super Attentive Host + Great Attention to Detail
We loved our stay at Cedar Solace! The Host was super attentive, and for a new listing, they really had a great attention to detail. This place is the perfect blend of modern amenities and nature's serenity. Everything was neat, clean, intuitive, and well appointed. The furniture was super comfy, and there were plenty of extra blankets and pillows if you want to lounge around and just absorb the natural beauty. Additionally, it's really close to Lutsen and about 25 minutes to Grand Marais, so you'll have plenty of things to explore nearby. We'll definitely be back!
Heated Floors + Gas Fireplace Kept the Cabin Toasty Warm
Cedar Solace was a wonderful place to enjoy the North Shore at Thanksgiving. Watching the 'Gales of November' on Lake Superior from the cabin windows was pretty wild. The heated floors and the big gas fireplace were the perfect combination to keep the cabin toasty warm despite the blustery winter winds. The hosts have thought of everything one could possibly need: a well-appointed kitchen with nice appliances including a gas stove, quality linens & bath products, beautiful finishes, and local artwork throughout. Oh, and the sauna! Who knew one could make a steamy snow angel! We had a lovely stay and look forward to returning next time we visit Grand Marais.
