Meet Your Hosts

Hi! We are Lindsey and Dave. We live in Duluth with our two kids, Hans and Sigrid. As a family, we're all about the outdoors and mountains—and the North Shore is as close as we can get to that alpine experience right here in Minnesota!

We fell in love with this rugged coastline where ancient lava flows meet the endless blue of Lake Superior. There's something magical about morning mist rising from the lake, how the Sawtooth Mountains frame every sunrise, and how the forest changes with each season. The North Shore has this raw, untamed beauty that never gets old.

Our family spends time hiking endless trail systems, fishing the rivers, exploring hidden waterfalls, and skiing both downhill at Lutsen and cross-country through quiet forests. We love our sauna time, cooking with local ingredients, and believe there's nothing better than a fire pit evening under the North Shore's incredible starry skies.

We created Cedar Solace to share this incredible place with others who appreciate authentic experiences and natural beauty. Please enjoy our cabin and treat it like your own—we hope you fall in love with the North Shore just like we have.
